Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford says he prefers dating a girl who isn’t an actress. The 24-year-old heartthrob, who previously dated country music star Carrie Underwood, told Showbizspy that he’d rather be in a relationship with someone who is in a different industry than in the showbiz.

"My friends think that dating within the industry is better because you’re on the same level. You understand more. At the same time it can get a bit sticky because schedules can get tight,” The Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.

"There are pros and cons to everything, but I think it can be a little more refreshing to date someone who isn’t in the profession. When I’m into a girl, I’d like to think I’m a good boyfriend. I’m not really into the cheesy stuff. I like the personal little things. I get creative, it’s got to be tailored to the girl though,” he added.
