After months of being silent, teen star Miley Cyrus, 17, has opened up about her relationship with beau Liam Hemsworth.Cyrus - of Hannah Montana fame - confirmed that she is.

A relationship with Aussie Hemsworth, while at the recent Oscars. It seems that once the dam was broken, she couldn't stop the words from flowing out.

Cyrus said Hemsworth's independence was something she found attractive. "I feel like I've been with people before . . . that may need something from me,".

She said on US radio. "He's not like that. He was already successful, he was already cast in the movie, he didn't need me for that.

"He doesn't need me to make him famous. He's got his career and his goals and that's awesome." The couple are currently on.

Asked by Teen Vogue about what it was like working with Cyrus, Hemsworth had this to say, "Working with Miley was a alot easier than I thought it was going to be. From the first time we [met], It was like I had known her before."

This isn't the first time the teenage star has gone public with her relationships. Her relationships have always been constantly reported by the news and tabloids. In 2005 she was dating Nick Jonas from the Jonas brothers, although she only admitted after they had broken up in 2007. In 2009, she was dating model and former Nashville Star Justin gaston for a period of 9 months.
