Michael Jackson album sales give Chrysalis a boost

The massive surge in sales of Michael Jackson songs since his death has given music publisher Chrysalis a big boost. The company’s catalogue of 60,000 tracks includes several of Jacko’s biggest hits including Thriller, right.

“His songs have been getting wall-to-wall radio play,” said finance chief Andy Mollett. “But a lot of the upside is going to come next year as it can take six months for royalties to trickle down.” Chrysalis also has high hopes for the new Robbie Williams album due out in November. The upbeat statement was enough to lift shares more than 10%.
