A journo in pursuit to unplug the enigmatic Somy Ali stumbled up on a fact worth a startle. In a free wheelie, Somy Ali talked about life, marriage and the heart rending break-up she had to go through while in a relationship with Salman Khan.
A Pakistani national and model-turned-actress Somy Ali, Salman’s ex-flame claimed that the reason of rift between her and Salman was Aishwarya Rai.
However, she refrained from elucidating further reasons about her naming Ash adding that she does not hold any grudges with anyone.
On being asked who does she blame more for her breakup, Aishwarya Rai or Salman Khan? She said, “Neither. They both did what they felt and believed was the right thing to do at that point in time. I don’t like to hold grudges. It will only affect my growth as a person.”
Somy confessed that Salman was her first boyfriend. And she had a huge crush on him as a teenager. The crush led her to leave Florida and move to India and join films so that she could be more close to her love and eventually get married to him one day.
On a reflective note she added that, “You have a license of doing idiotic things when you’re 15. However, I do not have a single regret of pursuing my first love.”
Asked if she had any regrets, she said, “No regrets at all. I learned a great deal from Salman and his family. Salman and his family taught me that it does not matter what religion one is, what culture one comes from, what makes a person a good person is their actions.”
